Bay's OT Extravaganza

Not looking forward to Michael Bay's OT-movie. Ugh. The nail in the coffin, for me, was seeing Whoopi added to the cast. Your thoughts?

NICK 2012!

A lot of news concerning Nick's TMNT show has been surfacing! As of this month we've been given a trailer, which gives me a lot of hope for the toon. Great sounding cast, Mikey is dead-on with Cipes. I think that I'm going to have to get used to Rob Paulsen as Donatello, because I'm really used to Barry Gordon and Corey Feldman. Paulsen's is altogether original and, in that respect, I would imagine pretty interesting. This Donnie will definitely be a sarcastic geek!

Dave Rapoza hits on the money with his Donatello portrait. I wasn't too crazy about his Leonardo, but I really like his Donatello. It could be that I'm biased. ;)

Nick Releases New TMNT Images

Check it out! Nick has just recently released new press images concerning the new Nick TMNT show, set to debut in 2012. Cowabunga!

Donny still has brown eyes, while the others seem to have lighter colored eyes. As a Donatello fan, I'm extremely pleased! Brown and purple mesh very well together, and I can't picture Donny with anything but brown eyes.

IDW Releases Press on New TMNT

Well, it's official. Here's IDW's press release portrait of the one and only Donatello! With art by Dan Duncan and the announcement that Kevin Eastman is co-writing the new IDW TMNT series, I think we can rest assured that the Turtles are in good hands with this comic publisher.

Check this out - a CG animated very realistic Donatello model, apparently created as a video game model by the artist. Although the artist's name is not credited on the video, judging from a recent post on TheTechnodrome Forums, I'm going to have to say this project is at least based off the artwork of one (however I feel that the model is actually also done by) Vincent Jenkins.

This is really, really, amazing work. I love Donny's look and his purple "bandanna" placement (which seemingly is paint,) and VJ's TMNT art in general is jaw-dropping and engaging. Great stuff.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the newly created "Donny's Lab," a blog dedicated to Eastman and Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Just to quickly introduce myself, I'm Matthew, otherwise known as DonnyTMNT on my haven, The Technodrome Forums. I've been a TMNT fan since I was a child: I'm currently 23. I have a life long interest in this franchise and I will continue to be an advocate for all things Turtles related. My favorite Turtle has always been Donatello, as you can see. I would like to thank Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman for creating the truly captivating characters of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe.

As you have probably already read from the top banner or the left hand side, I'll be posting random Turtles news involving the 2012-slated Nickelodeon CGI show, as well as any other TMNT news I hear or see and have the time to tell you about (or at least to give you my opinions on the matter...not that they matter much.) I'll be writing the occasional fan-boy rant and other musings, about anything and everything I feel like blogging about.

Needless to say, it's certainly an exciting time to be a Turtles fan: a statement I think most of my pals over at TheTechnodrome Forums would attest to. I hope you enjoy this blog, and thanks for stopping by in the first place. Here's to the start of this blog!
